Location Hire Rules for Kotahi House

1. Time Management

  • Hirer’s time begins promptly at the designated starting time and ends promptly at the designated ending time. You will be given door lock access and lock up codes 15 mins either side of your booking time slot.

  • Set up and pack up, including cleaning and placing props back, must be completed during the term of the hire period.

  • Overtime fees will apply for any time exceeding the agreed hire duration unless otherwise discussed.

  • Refer to parking rules and guidelines in the welcome email. It is important you follow the parking rules.

2. Cancellations & Reschedules

  • Cancellation and reschedule rules are non-negotiable.

  • The date and booking slot are not confirmed until payment is made in full.

3. Cancellation Policy

  • No refunds will be issued if a cancellation is made 30 days or less from the booking date.

  • Credit notes will be issued for cancellations made 30 days or less from the booking date. Credit note is valid for 90 days.

  • Cancellations or reschedules made 48 hours or less prior to booking will receive no refund, credit, or reschedule.

4. Location Owner Discretion

  • Bookings can be canceled at the Location Director's discretion, in which case a 100% refund will be offered.

    LOCATION HIRE RULES

    • Pets are not permitted on location

    • No Smoking - this is a smoke free home

    • No Alcohol (unless discussed prior)

    • Please remove your shoes when you arrive. - shoes to be photographed in are to be clean. We have NEW micro cement floors which cost thousands of dollars to install so its very important to look after our flooring.

    • Furniture MUST NOT be dragged across the floors! Anything larger than an armchair requires 2 people to move. Damage to floors may result in an insurance claim and charges to you for damages.

    • DO NOT MOVE THE DINING TABLE

    • Music volume is to be kept at a fair level. Please respect our neighbours.

    • Please place all small rubbish in the rubbish bin located at the end of the bench in the cupboard - large rubbish items to be placed in the Wheelie Bins outside

    • Return all props and furniture to their original position prior to leaving

    • Minors must be supervised by an adult at all times

    • If any equipment, furniture, props, fixtures, etc. are mishandled, broken, ruined, or stained - the Hirer must notify Nadia immediately.

    • A lot of love, thought and money has gone into bringing you this location to use - so please treat our home with respect and care.
